Is Yellowstone on Netflix?
It depends which country your account is in, and that is the whole answer. In the United States Yellowstone is not on Netflix and never has been. Peacock holds the exclusive US streaming rights to all five seasons.
Outside the US it is on Netflix in some markets, and there it is four seasons, not five. Season five, the part that ends the story, was on no Netflix catalogue we checked and is announced for none of them.
"Outside the US" is not "everywhere". Australia does not have it on Netflix at all. We checked six territories live on 27 September 2026: the US, the UK, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands and Australia. For any other country, we do not know.

The five mistakes almost every page on this makes
No territory named. "It is on Netflix" is true somewhere and false somewhere. Four of our six markets have it, Australia does not, the US never did.
A stale season count. "Seasons 1 to 3" was copied from early 2024. It is four now, and the finale is on none of them.
Assuming Paramount+ has it in the US. It aired on Paramount Network, so that feels safe. It is wrong.
A tool measuring the wrong programme. On JustWatch, /us/tv-show/yellowstone is the 2009 BBC nature series; the Duttons sit at yellowstone-2018. The path also changes by country: /tv-show/ in the US, /tv-series/ in the UK, /serie/ in Germany.
A year out by one. Several sources date the UK Netflix launch to 30 January 2026. It was 2025: the source says "Thursday, January 30", and 30 January 2025 was a Thursday.
The United States: Peacock, and why that is structural
ViacomCBS sold the US streaming rights to NBCUniversal in 2020, before Paramount+ existed. Our US check showed Peacock Premium and Premium Plus with five seasons, no Netflix and no Paramount+. The rest were linear pass-throughs carrying part seasons on Philo, fuboTV and YouTube TV, two flagged as leaving.
When that could change is reported, not announced. Puck, via ScreenRant in February 2023, put Peacock's hold at four years after the final episode, which aired 15 December 2024. Late 2028 is the earliest possible date. Peacock costs 12.99 dollars with advertisements or 19.99 without. The rise took effect on 18 August 2026 for new and returning subscribers, and existing subscribers move to it at their first billing date on or after 17 September 2026.
Netflix outside the US, and where all five seasons are
What we measured on 27 September 2026. UK: Netflix four seasons, including Standard with Ads, Paramount+ five. The UK listing also flagged the Netflix offer as leaving within days when we checked. No removal list confirms that, so check your own app. Canada: Netflix four, Paramount+ five. Germany: Netflix four, Paramount+ five. WOW also lists the series, but German sources disagree on how much of it, so treat Paramount+ as the German route to season five. Netherlands, on FilmVandaag because JustWatch NL kept rate limiting us: Netflix four, SkyShowtime five. Australia: no Netflix, no Paramount+, Stan five seasons. BINGE appeared on the Australian listing as a free trial offer with no season count against it, so we do not count it as a home for this series. Paramount+ does not exist as its own service in the Netherlands, so pointing a Dutch reader there is wrong.
At least four documented waves: around 18 regions on 15 January 2024, including Brazil, Germany and India, further markets in the summer and in December of that year, then the UK, Canada and the Netherlands on 30 January 2025. What's on Netflix puts the running total above 50 countries, which is wide but far short of the 190 plus markets Netflix serves. France is reported at around 1 March 2025 from snippets only, and our check there failed on a rate limit.
Three limits. "Almost every country except the US" comes from blogs we could not verify: Netflix runs in over 190 markets, and Australia is a measured counter-example. The four is measured, the numbering inferred, since the listings give a total without numbering it. And "rights until at least July 2027" traces to one unsourced February 2025 blog.
Buying versus subscribing, with the sum
In the US one month of Peacock Premium at 12.99 dollars covers all 53 episodes. Amazon Video showed seasons from 8.99 dollars each, so five is 44.95 dollars at the lowest advertised price, about three and a half months of Peacock, and more in practice. One season at 8.99 beats one month at 12.99, but the month gives you all five.
In the UK the Apple TV Store showed 80.95 pounds for the full run against Netflix standard at 13.99 pounds a month, close to six months, for four of the five seasons. All prices are 27 September 2026 snapshots, mostly "from" figures we did not verify store by store.
The spin-offs have their own rights
Paramount keeps the spin-offs on Paramount+: 1883, 1923, Lawmen: Bass Reeves, The Madison, Dutton Ranch, and Marshals, which began on CBS on 1 March 2026 with Luke Grimes back as Kayce Dutton. Marshals is the direct continuation and the biggest source of confusion. None is on Netflix in the US, and 1923 is not on Peacock either. Abroad, 1883 and 1923 season one did reach Netflix during 2025, on dates we did not re-check.
What a VPN does and does not do here
A VPN changes the network location your connection appears to come from. It does not change your Netflix billing region, it does not add a title to your plan, and it cannot produce season five on a catalogue that carries it nowhere.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why is Yellowstone not on Paramount+ in the United States?
Because ViacomCBS sold the US rights to NBCUniversal in 2020, before Paramount+ launched. Paramount still owns the show, but in the US the streaming window belongs to a competitor.
Is season five coming to Netflix?
There is no announcement in any market. It sits with Paramount+, SkyShowtime, Stan, BINGE or Peacock depending on where you are, and the Netflix dates circulating trace back to single unsourced blogs.
Is Yellowstone on Netflix in Australia?
No. On 27 September 2026 Stan showed all five seasons, and neither Netflix nor Paramount+ carried it. Australia is why "on Netflix outside the US" is not a rule.
