Is Succession on Netflix?
No. In 17 markets checked on 27 September 2026, Succession is not on Netflix, the United States included.
It never left, either. It is an HBO production, on HBO's own service since 3 June 2018. There is no removal date because there was never an arrival date.
The useful question is which service does carry it, and that changes by country.

Most checked markets route through HBO Max. Canada is Crave, India JioHotstar, Japan U-NEXT, the United Arab Emirates OSN+.
South Korea and South Africa returned no route at all, which may mean incomplete records rather than nothing to watch.
Netflix walked away from buying Warner Bros. Discovery in February 2026. Paramount Skydance is the buyer, and the deal has not closed.
Three mistakes most pages make
"It was removed from Netflix." No licence lapsed and there is no departure date. Jesse Armstrong created it, HBO Entertainment made it, and HBO has kept it on its own service throughout.
"The Netflix takeover means it is coming." Netflix announced a deal for Warner Bros. Discovery's studio and streaming arm on 5 December 2025, then declined to match Paramount's raised offer in February 2026. The buyer, Paramount Skydance, runs Paramount+. Whoever ends up owning HBO, it is a Netflix rival with a service of its own to fill. An announcement is not an effective date, and a collapsed one is not even that.
"Just watch it on HBO Max." This is the big one. It is wrong in Canada, India, Japan and the United Arab Emirates, and those readers are precisely the ones hitting a geoblock.
Where it actually streams, market by market
As of 27 September 2026.
HBO Max carries it directly in the United States, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Italy, Sweden, Brazil, Mexico, Australia and the Philippines. An HBO Max Amazon Channel sits beside it in nearly all of them: the same rights, a different till.
Three add a second pay television route: the United Kingdom has Sky Go and NOW, Germany WOW, Australia BINGE and Foxtel Now.
Four have no HBO Max and use a local partner instead. Canada is Crave only, after Bell Media renewed its HBO rights in October 2024. India is JioHotstar only. Japan runs through U-NEXT and the HBO Max channel inside U-NEXT, both of which list all four seasons. Hulu Japan lists one season only, so it is not a route to the full run. The United Arab Emirates is OSN+ only.
South Korea and South Africa showed no offer of any kind.
Buy or subscribe
Four seasons, 39 episodes, broadcast from 3 June 2018 to 28 May 2023. The series has ended and there is no season five. It also sells outright in most checked markets, through stores such as Apple TV Store, Amazon Video, Sky Store and CHILI.
Do the sum first. A complete set of a series this size usually costs a multiple of one month of a subscription, so subscribing wins if you will watch it quickly. A single season costs far less than the complete set, but in every market checked it still came to more than one month of the service that carries it, so check the price of the season you actually want rather than the box set. No figures appear here on purpose, because they vary by country, shop and season.
What this page does not know
Coverage. Seventeen markets were checked and Netflix operates in more than 190. "Not on Netflix" holds for these 17 and nowhere else. The zero results for South Korea and South Africa could mean no legal route exists, or incomplete records, so do not treat that absence as a fact.
Season completeness. All four seasons are confirmed on HBO Max in the United States. Elsewhere only presence is established, not the full run. Hulu Japan is also a different company from the American Hulu.
Timing. The Paramount Skydance deal cleared US, EU and UK regulators between 12 June and 6 August 2026. A court order of 20 July 2026 temporarily barred completion, and the case was settled out of court on 21 September 2026. On 27 September 2026 it has still not closed. Paramount's David Ellison said on 2 March 2026 that HBO Max and Paramount+ will be combined, with no date given and nothing in force.
Data quality. Service names. Some guides still send readers to Star+, Starzplay or Disney+ Hotstar for HBO titles. Star+ closed in July 2024, Starzplay withdrew from most of Europe and Latin America between 2022 and 2024, and Disney+ Hotstar became JioHotstar in February 2025. None of those is a route to Succession today. Those dead names linger in stale guides, so their absence is a good sign.
