Is Mad Men on Netflix?
No. On 27 September 2026 Mad Men is not on Netflix in any of the twelve markets checked here: the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Brazil, Mexico, India and Japan. Netflix runs in over 190 markets, so that covers twelve, not the world.
The bigger problem is the listings. Comparison sites still show "Lionsgate+ Amazon Channels" as a live subscription route in nine of those twelve markets. That service is gone: closed in the UK on 29 February 2024, out of Latin America on 11 December 2023, with exits from France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Benelux, the Nordics and Japan announced in 2022. A dataset carrying that row is stale, and its other availability claims are suspect too.

Netflix: three separate timelines
Mad Men left Netflix in the US in June 2020, announced in May 2020, and never came back. It returned to Netflix internationally on 1 August 2024, after four years away, with the US and UK explicitly excluded. The UK got it separately on 1 January 2025.
The departure was reported on 16 July 2025. That is the announcement date, not the effective date. Those came later and split: the UK on 1 January 2026, the other international markets on 1 August 2026.
The announcement named eighteen departing markets: Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, India, Italy, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Ukraine. That is a departure list, not a list of every market Netflix ever carried it in, and it says nothing about the other 170-odd markets.
Where Mad Men actually streams today
In the US: AMC+ and HBO Max, seven seasons each, also sold as channels inside Amazon and Apple TV. Disney+ does not carry it there.
Internationally: Disney+ is the main route, with seven seasons in nine of the twelve markets checked, being the UK, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Brazil and Mexico. Australia adds local routes, Stan among them. HBO Max also appeared in the Australian and UK listings. Japan was the exception, with no legal streaming route found at all.
In the UK, France, Spain, Italy, Brazil, Mexico and India it also runs free with ads on Prime Video, but that is one season, not the run. Buying is not universal. Eight of the twelve markets checked had a purchase route, usually the Apple TV Store or Amazon Video, with Sky Store in the UK and maxdome in Germany. Brazil, Mexico, India and Japan had none, and the French listing is for discs from Fnac rather than a digital copy.
Buying versus subscribing
No figures here. Prices move by country, by store and by week, so any number printed on this page would be wrong somewhere within a month. A 92-episode box set normally costs several times one month of a subscription, so one month of AMC+ or Disney+ is almost always cheaper for the whole run. For a single season it can go the other way, especially if you want to keep it. Check the season you actually want.
Why the show keeps moving
Lionsgate Television produced Mad Men with Weiner Bros. Productions and AMC Original Productions. AMC broadcast it, but Lionsgate holds the distribution rights and sells them on, which explains the pattern. Its own service, Starzplay and later Lionsgate+, was wound back across 2022 to 2024, and its Indian and South East Asian operations were sold in January 2026. With no platform of its own left to protect, the rights holder lets the show travel.

HBO Max acquired the US rights in November 2025 and began carrying all seven seasons on 1 December 2025, which is when AMC+ stopped being the only subscription route there. Whether international Disney+ carriage sits in the hub renamed from Star to Hulu on 8 October 2025, Japan excepted, was not verified per market, so search the app for the title. The Indian row may refer to Lionsgate Play, a separate Indian service sold in January 2026, status unconfirmed. No price was checked and none should be inferred.
