Search Netflix for "Jurassic" and you get results. That is where most answers go wrong. Netflix's two Jurassic titles are animated series, Camp Cretaceous and Chaos Theory, and both are Netflix Originals. Neither is a film.
The seven cinema films are a separate rights question. They belong to Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment. Universal sits inside NBCUniversal, which belongs to Comcast, and Comcast runs its own streamers. New Jurassic films therefore cannot reach Netflix. The two Jurassic titles on Netflix are cartoons
Camp Cretaceous ran from 2020 to 2022, Chaos Theory from 2024 to 2025. Netflix commissioned both, so they sit on its side of the rights line and never rotate away. That is the whole confusion. The honest phrasing is narrower: the two cartoons are Netflix's own, and the films sit under separate per- territory licences that we did not check in any single country.
Why the new films cannot reach Netflix
Universal splits its 18 month pay-one window in three. The first four months are Peacock exclusive. The middle ten send live-action to Amazon Prime Video. The last four return to Peacock. Netflix gets only Illumination and DreamWorks animation in that middle stretch, so Jurassic never enters the Netflix lane. Universal moved this window to Peacock from 2022, ending its earlier HBO deal. The window was set at four months after theatrical release, and from December 2021 it could open as early as 45 days for selected titles. Rebirth took 120 days.
In the UK and Ireland the route differs but the owner does not. Sky Cinema holds the Universal output deal, with on demand access through Now, EE TV and TalkTalk TV, and Sky belongs to Comcast.
That argument has a boundary: it covers films inside the pay-one window, not a 1993 film.
Where Jurassic World Rebirth actually sits
Rebirth reached cinemas on 2 July 2025 and disc on 9 September 2025. It started on Peacock on 30 October 2025, moved to Prime Video for ten months after that, and returns to Peacock for the final four.
Keep the two dates apart. The Peacock start is sourced. The return is announced structure, expected around the turn of 2026 into 2027, and not current availability.
Our reading that Rebirth is on Prime Video in the United States today is arithmetic from 30 October 2025, not a check. Four months from 30 October 2025 puts the Prime Video stretch from roughly 1 March 2026 to late December 2026, so 27 September 2026 falls inside it. Today sits in the Prime Video stretch either way, but the dates around it shift.
The older films are the open question
Six films are past their window: 1993, 1997, 2001, 2015, 2018 and 2022. Outside it Universal licenses non exclusively and per territory, in rotating stints, so a 1993 title can legitimately sit on two services in one country. "Jurassic Park left Netflix" is the wrong shape of sentence unless it names a country and a date. We can name neither.
If you compare catalogues across regions, use current names. Star became Hulu on Disney+ on 8 October 2025, Japan excepted. Star+ closed in July 2024. Disney+ Hotstar became JioHotstar in February 2025.
