The mix-up: Chicago P.D., not Chicago Fire
In July 2026 it was reported that One Chicago was coming to Netflix. That is accurate, and it is about Chicago P.D.
The reporting appeared on 9 July 2026. It took effect on 1 August 2026. The reporting named the UK, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Latin America including Brazil, several Asian markets and Australia, and excluded the US. Three were verified on 27 September 2026: the UK, Australia and Spain, five seasons each. France, the Netherlands and the Asian markets were not checked. Chicago Fire was not in the deal.
What "it left Netflix" meant
Netflix licensed Chicago Fire and Chicago Med on 1 September 2021 for one year, seasons 1 to 4 only, in fourteen regions: Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Iceland, India, Italy, the Netherlands, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and the UK. Both left on 1 September 2022 when the licence expired. Not the full run, not worldwide, never Netflix US.
The US: Peacock, not Netflix
Chicago Fire is not on Netflix in the US and, on the available reporting, never has been. What's on Netflix wrote on 2 August 2022 that it "wasn't licensed in the United States". Chicago Med did hold a separate US window: seasons 1 to 5 were licensed to Netflix US in July 2021 and left on 22 July 2022.
The reason is ownership. Universal Television distributes the series and belongs to NBCUniversal, which owns Peacock. Abroad, Peacock is not a standalone product, so rights sell territory by territory. That explains the patchwork below, and why Chicago P.D. could reach Netflix abroad while staying on Peacock at home.

Season 14 ran from 1 October 2025 to 13 May 2026. NBC announced its autumn dates on 24 June 2026: season 15 starts on 7 October 2026 under new showrunner Victor Teran. Nothing is airing today. So a service listing fourteen seasons has the complete aired run, and from 7 October the current season sits on Peacock.
What has not been established
Fourteen Netflix markets were checked. Every other market is unknown, the Netherlands and Turkey included, both of which were in the 2021 window. No announced Netflix deal for Chicago Fire was found anywhere, which is not proof nothing is coming: windows often become visible only on the day they open.
