Is Boruto: Naruto Next Generations on Netflix?
No in the United States, yes in a number of other countries. Checked on 27 September 2026, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations was on Netflix in Canada, Germany, France, Brazil, Mexico, India and Japan. It was not on Netflix in the United States, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Spain or Australia. Netflix's own title page for the series, id 81080523, returns a 404 in the American, British, Dutch and Australian versions, and loads as a normal title page in Japan, Germany and Canada.
That is twelve markets. Netflix operates in more than 190. Nothing here establishes what the other 180 or so do, and no attempt has been made to guess.
The reason most pages get this wrong is that they answer for the world when the answer is national, and they treat three different series as one.

Three Naruto series, three separate deals
"Naruto is on Netflix" is true in the United States and useless as a guide to Boruto. The 2002 series sits in the American catalogue, grouped by aggregators as five seasons. Naruto: Shippuden does not. Boruto does not. The rights to Boruto are held and sold separately from both, which is why a reader who reasons from one series to the next lands on the wrong answer. That inference is the single most common error on this query.
The September 2026 headlines are about the manga
Headlines such as "Boruto Officially Returns September 18 With Brand-New Release" (CBR, 11 September 2026) and "Boruto Is Finally Returning From Hiatus" refer to the manga Boruto: Two Blue Vortex. It took a month off in August 2026 and resumed in September, with chapter 37 under discussion around 23 September. That is not an anime return and it is not a Netflix announcement. Anyone repeating those headlines as streaming news is publishing an error that takes one click to disprove.

Brazil and Mexico, alongside Crunchyroll, with Prime Video and Pluto TV also listed in Mexico. India, alongside Crunchyroll and Sony LIV. Japan, alongside Hulu Japan, U-NEXT and Anime Times via Amazon Channel.
Not on Netflix: the United States, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Spain and Australia.
Two cautions. The German result covers Germany only. Austria and Switzerland were not checked and often differ. And Hulu Japan is a separate operator from the American Hulu, so a Japanese listing tells you nothing about the US one.
Crunchyroll is the reliable route, not Netflix
In every checked market outside Japan the series is on Crunchyroll or on Crunchyroll through Amazon Channel: the US, UK, Canada, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Australia, India, Brazil and Mexico. The one checked exception is Japan, where the route is Netflix, Hulu Japan and U-NEXT instead. In the US, Hulu carries it as well, and The Roku Channel has it free with adverts.
On buying rather than subscribing: Amazon and Apple sell the run in parts or "seasons". There are 293 episodes, so buying the complete series digitally costs several times a single month of any streaming subscription. Buying one part may well not. Look up the price of the exact part you want, in your own store and country, because it varies by both.
Why the rights split the way they do
Studio Pierrot animated the series and TV Tokyo broadcast it. The manga comes from Shueisha, drawn by Mikio Ikemoto and supervised by Masashi Kishimoto, with Ukyo Kodachi writing the first thirteen volumes. Viz Media holds the North American licence. The structural point is ownership: Crunchyroll belongs to Sony, which completed the acquisition on 9 August 2021 and also owns Aniplex. Funimation was merged into Crunchyroll in March 2022 and no longer runs as a separate service. Netflix's main partner on this title is therefore a direct competitor, and in the US both Crunchyroll and Hulu, owned by Disney, already have it. Which party grants the Netflix licence in each country was not established.
A Netflix "season" count is bookkeeping, not episodes
There are officially no seasons. It is one continuous run of 293 episodes, broadcast from 5 April 2017 to 26 March 2023, and each platform cuts it up differently. Netflix is listed as one season. Crunchyroll via Amazon Channel is listed as two. In the US, Amazon sells it in two parts and Apple in one. Those labels describe platform admin, not the show. In particular, "1 season" on Netflix is not evidence that all 293 episodes are there. How many episodes Netflix carries in each market was not established, and neither was whether the dubbed or the subtitled version is the one on offer.
What this check does not cover

None of the checked listings named Star+, JioHotstar, the Hulu hub on Disney+, Lionsgate+ or Starzplay for this title, which is a sanity check that passed rather than a guarantee that the underlying data is current.
There is a new anime in the pipeline and no date for it. Trade press has reported a Two Blue Vortex television anime in development, and a trailer has circulated, both without a premiere date or a named platform. Anime News Network lists an encyclopedia entry for "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations (TV 2)" with no air dates, while English Wikipedia still says only that a second part was announced to be in development. That contradiction is unresolved. A countdown on naruto-official.com points at a "NARUTO What's Next?" moment at New York Comic Con, timed on the site to 11 October 2026 in Japan: announced, not yet happened, and with no streaming consequence so far. No dated change to Boruto's Netflix position was found in any checked market, and no announcement that it is coming to Netflix US.
