Is Bones on Netflix?
Almost every page answering this gives one answer for the whole world. That is the mistake. Bones is not on Netflix in the United States. In most other markets checked here, all 12 seasons are. Both "Bones is on Netflix" and "Bones left Netflix" are wrong somewhere.
Eleven markets were checked on 27 September 2026. Netflix carried all 12 seasons in nine: the UK, Canada, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Australia and Brazil. It carried nothing in the United States or India. Netflix operates in more than 190 markets, so eleven is a sample, not a world map. Confirm it in your own account before you plan around it.
United States: Hulu, Prime Video and Peacock, not Netflix.

India: JioHotstar has it, Netflix does not.
Disney+ has all 12 seasons in all nine, so Netflix is not exclusive.

Bones in the United States
On 27 September 2026 Bones was not on US Netflix in any form: not as a subscription title, not as coming soon, not as leaving soon. When Disney licensed the series to Netflix in January 2026, the US was explicitly excluded.
What the US has, all 12 seasons: Hulu, Prime Video on the standard and ad-supported tier, and Peacock Premium and Premium Plus. You can buy it from the Apple TV Store, Amazon Video and Fandango at Home, but not rent it. Two free ad-supported channels, Plex Live TV and Sling Freestream Live, carried 2 seasons and drop it on 1 October 2026. Disney+ is not a separate route: Hulu is the Disney address in the US.
Buying versus one month of a subscription
A complete set of 12 seasons costs a multiple of one month of a subscription that already carries it, so a month of Hulu or Peacock is almost always cheaper if you just want to watch it through. One season is a different calculation, and prices vary by store, so check the season you want.
Bones on Netflix outside the United States
All nine markets above carried the complete run, and Disney+ carried all 12 seasons in each of them too. That is the detail most articles miss: two services run the same show side by side, so a Netflix removal would not mean the series has gone.
Buying is patchier than streaming. Two German stores listed 11 of the 12 seasons, so check season 12 is included. The Netherlands, Italy and Spain had no purchase option at all. In the UK the series also streams free with adverts on Channel 4, and in Australia free on 7plus.
Disney owns Bones, and that decides where it lives
Bones is a 20th Century Fox Television production. Since Disney bought 21st Century Fox the rights sit with Disney, which runs Disney+ worldwide, Hulu in the US, and, since 8 October 2025, the former Star hub inside Disney+ internationally under the Hulu name as well, Japan excepted. India runs through JioHotstar, renamed from Disney+ Hotstar in February 2025.
So Disney keeps the series on its own platforms and licenses it non-exclusively to Netflix where that pays, home market excluded. Netflix is the tenant. Disney+ is the address that stays, and Hulu in the US.
What changed in 2026, and what changes next
Announced 15 January 2026, effective 31 January 2026: Disney licensed all 12 seasons to Netflix in selected markets, named as Australia, Israel, France, the Netherlands, Poland, Belgium and South Korea. The US, UK, Canada and Latin America were excluded.
Reported 18 June 2026, effective 11 July 2026: all 12 seasons arrived on Netflix in the UK.
No dated source, observed 27 September 2026: Netflix also carries it in Canada, Germany, Italy, Spain and Brazil, though Canada and Latin America sat outside the January deal. The addition date is unknown.
Flagged 27 September 2026, expected around 17 October 2026: the Australian licence is marked as expiring in roughly 20 days.
Effective 1 October 2026: the two free US ad-supported channels drop the series.
What this page could not check
Eleven markets were checked. Japan, Poland, Belgium, Israel, South Korea, Scandinavia, Mexico and roughly 180 other Netflix markets were not, and four of those were named in the January announcement.
The Australian expiry comes from a licence-expiry flag, not from Netflix or Disney, and it appeared only on the ad-free listing, so treat it as a signal and not a date. The Peacock listing rests on a single source. No revival or new film turned up in any source consulted, which is not proof there is none.
